Veliki Slap (Plitvice Lakes) –

It is one of the greatest and the biggest waterfall which you can find along the Korana River in the Plitvička Jezera National Park. And, the best thing, that you will know about this park is that, it is divided into 2 sections – upper and lower lakes and the Veliki Slap is something that can be found at the end of the last section of the lower lakes area. This great waterfall is 78 metres in just single section and is known as the highlight of the Plitvice National Park. Also, close to the waterfall you can find many trails and bridges from where you can witness fish, waterfowl and specific caverns including the rock formation everywhere from the main entrance o the park i.e., entrance 1.

Mrežnica river falls (near Karlovac) –

This river is something that can be found in Karlovac County. It is one of the most beauteous and remarkable natural streams with several canyons, springs, mills, waterfalls along its 63km long course. You can find here 90 waterfalls set in a spectacular scenery and none of these waterfalls are high as those seen on the Plitvice Lakes and also in the Krka National Park. They are so unique and well worth seeing at. Swimming can be done here in the river and you will also find in many places’ locals and tourist.

Zrmanja waterfalls (near Šibenik) –

This is a rough and rugged river, which can be found about 35 km inland in between the towns of Šibenik and Zadar and it has 12 cascades through its winding route. Many of the sections of the river is an apt spot for extreme sports and in fact it is one of the top destinations in Croatia for going to river rafting. Other portions of the river are more quiet, relaxing and makes a great choice for destinations for a family holiday. The spring of this waterfall is located near the southern peak of the Pljesevica mountain.

Skradinski Buk (Krka National Park) –

It is one of the most important UNESCO World Heritage Site, which is within the Krka National Park. It is situated in the town of SKradin and it is the largest waterfall on the river and is one of Croatia’s popular landmarks. In the Croatian language, the word ‘Buk’ means cascade and this waterfall is the most impressive and popular ones. It is said that, it has 20 separate cascade which is over 800m of the stretch of krka river. In 30 minutes, you can enter the waterfall through the entrance.
