McCall, Idaho Skiing Adventure Awaits

McCall, Idaho is a quit mountain town with one big secret, or should I say lots of big secrets? It’s situated on 2.3 million acres of the Payette National Forest. There are lots of activities and adventures to wait here, none more front and center than skiing. McCall has two incredible ski resorts. It also has ample opportunity for cycling, hiking, and fishing.

There are plenty of cabins and camping locations in McCall; however, for those that prefer to stay in a more sophisticated place during there stay there are three options: Tamarack Resort, Shore Lodge, and Bear Creek Lodge.

Tamarack Resort

Tamarack offers housing choices for pretty much every budget. There are lodges, cottages, townhomes, chalets, and estate homes to choose from. All of which have Wi-Fi and are close to restaurants, shops, and grocery stores.

You’ll find lots of activities at Tamarack Resort too. They have skiing, snowboarding, biking, spas, daycares, event booking, and a lake for boating and fishing.

Shore Lodge

This location gets its name due to it sitting right on the shores of Payette Lake. It was created in 1948 and has remained a popular locations for the people of Idaho since. Shore Lodge is a short drive to two different ski mountains. It also has many dining options just a short walk away.

The lodge itself also offers many accommodations. Shore Lodge has direct access to the lake, their own heated pool, a spa, and even a movie theater.

Bear Creek Lodge

This lodge offers things that the other two locations don’t. They have a private pond, horseshoe pits, biking trails, and even snowmobile trails. It is also the main attraction in McCall for people looking to book weddings and other events. Bear Creek Lodge has a 9-room main lodge, 2 3-bedroom family cabins, and 4 duplex cabins.
